A film about the Bradford 12 and the need for self-defence
RACISTS ATTACK – WE FIGHT BACK!
SELF DEFENCE – IS NO OFFENCE!
In 1981 twelve young Asian men were charged with terrorism for defending Bradford from an imminent racist skinhead attack. Following national and international protests in support of the defendants and a tense lengthy trial, they were acquitted, establishing the right of organised self-defence in the UK. This is their story.
This documentary feature film is a timely reminder of the importance of community organising and armed resistance against the political violence of fascism and the far-right.
